School and PTA Resources for all Roosevelt Parents

1/8 – This (Short) Week at Roosevelt

Message from the Principal

Happy new year! I hope everyone had a wonderful break and spent some quality time with their family.

2020 is expected to be a busy one.  We have a weekly tours coming up in January (16, 24, and 27) with more dates to be added to February. We will need lots of parents to help out as tour guides, so please let us know if you are interested. Even if you can just help on one particular day, that would be very much appreciated. All tours will be in the morning from 8:30-9:45am. Please consider signing up using this link.

We also have Meet RCSD nights next week on January 13 at Kennedy and January 14 at Hoover. This will be our first opportunity for incoming families to talk to all of the different schools about their programs, and of course we will be there representing Roosevelt and our wonderful PBL program.

On Thursday, January 16, I am hosting an evening where we can come together as a community to examine our vision for Roosevelt for the next decade. Our school has experienced a lot of change this year, and we want to hear what you envision for Roosevelt in the years to come. The evening will be a dual-language event in both English and Spanish and will involve a variety of fun activities and open discussions about who we are and who we will become. The evening is from 6-7:30pm, and dinner will be provided. I will need an RSVP to know how much food to provide. A flyer will go home in this week’s folder. I hope to see many of you there.

Wishing you all a wonderful start to the new year and the new decade!

– Principal Tina Mercer
