Safe Routes to School Meeting…
You are invited to attend the City of Redwood City’s Safe Routes to School Recommendations Report Review at Roosevelt School on Monday, June 10th at 5:30pm.

This meeting is an important opportunity to share your thoughts on the draft recommended improvements. The goal of the recommendations is to help improve walking and biking access to schools for students and their families.  The improvements were developed based on parent and community input gathered during school walk and bike audits in May. Please join us to review:

•    Suggested Walking and Biking Routes to School Maps
•    Proposed engineering improvements
•    Discuss activities to get more kids walking and biking

We hope that you will join us and explore how to make walking and bicycling safer, easier, and more accessible for students and families. Spanish translation will be available and, if needed, free childcare by the YMCA. Food will also be provided.

Yearbooks…
The school yearbook is now available for purchase! Mr. Williams’ after school yearbook club has been working on them for most of the year and they look fantastic! The yearbooks are full color and available for only $20 each. Please make checks payable to Roosevelt PTA.  Return your order form with your payment to your child’s class or bring it in to the school office.

SJ Earthquakes vs. LA Galaxy Soccer Game Tickets…
If you purchased tickets for the June 29 soccer game, please come to the office to pick them up on June 12, 13 & 14.  The PTA decided to purchase a few extra tickets and as of today, there are only 20 left. They will be available for sale in the office ($20 per ticket), but once they’re gone, that’s it. If by chance you need more than 20, please let us know IMMEDIATELY. The Earthquakes will be releasing the rest of the tickets in our section on Monday afternoon for general sale. The PTA would like to thank you for your support and we’ll see you at the game! Trivia Question Answer…
The correct answer is d. Selby Lane/Roosevelt. Mrs. Boone started out as a classroom aide at Selby Lane before becoming a teacher there as well before transferring to Roosevelt. If you get a chance, stop by Mrs. Boone’s class and wish her well on her retirement! Thanks Mrs. Boone for all of your years at Roosevelt! Happy Retirement!
