Jog-a-thon Updates
T-shirt contest winner!
Thank you to all of the students who submitted their unique and creative works of art for our Jog-a-thon t-shirt contest. We received hundreds of submissions and it was hard to narrow it down. 
The students voted at lunch on Thursday and the winner this year is……..Kyle Estrada from 7th grade.
Congratulations, we can’t wait to wear your design!! Kudos to the runner ups fourth grader Emma Verley and Anette Ximena Mendieta Ugalde of 5th grade for their near wins!

Fundraising update
Jog-a-thon is off and running and the fundraising has begun! The school has raised $11,300 so far, we are more than 20% of the way towards our goal. Way to go Raccoons! Only 70 students are registered so far, so if you haven’t registered your child yet, please sign them up here

Variety Show Tryouts Tuesday
Tryouts are Tuesday, April 5 after school in the Cafeteria. Parents who are authorized volunteers may be on campus to assist your child in tryouts. Please enter via the office. For parents who can’t make it, no worries. These first tryouts we will give feedback to each group on anything they need to work on to get ready for the show, and all acts that are ready to perform on May 5th will make it into the show. For acts that need development, we may arrange a check in practice in mid April.
For tryouts, we will provide a keyboard, mic and amplifier that can play devices with a USB-C, Apple, or audio headphones jack. Remember acts need to be 3 minutes or shorter and “G” rated.
If your child is young and uncertain about the process, we can escort kids from the office to tryouts and back. You can reach out to Whitney Glockner Black (whitney@roosevelt-pta.com or 650-740-9337) if you have any questions or want to touch base about your child’s tryout.

Cheer for the Quakes with your fellow raccoons! Purchase tickets for the game using this link. 50% of ticket fees will go to Roosevelt school and we will have our own Roosevelt section at the game.
