After a long day of competition, Roosevelt’s team of 5th graders emerged as the 2013 BizWorld Challenge Champions!
Each team had to use their BizWorld knowledge and know‐how to turn around a struggling company.
The teams created a unique/innovative product or service, sought funding to run their company, they made and marketed their products, and sold their items to the audience at a Sales Bazaar with the goal of making the highest profit.
All teams were judged in five categories: design, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and finance. Their scores in each category helped to influence their company value. The winners were determined by the company with the highest value.
Also competing were:
The Harker School – San Jose (2nd place)
North Star Academy – Redwood City (3rd place)
Woodside Elementary – Woodside (4th place)
