BizWorld Challenge…
A team of 5th grade students from Mr. Williams class has been chosen to participate in the 2013 BizWorld Challenge this Saturday, May 11 at Woodside Elementary from 1:00pm – 5:00pm. Our Roosevelt team is competing against teams from Woodside Elementary, North Star, and Harker School (a private school in San Jose).

Each team will be responsible for using their BizWorld knowledge and know‐how to turn around a struggling company. Each team has to create a unique/innovative product or service, seek funding to run their company, make and market their product, and sell it to the audience at a Sales Bazaar with the goal of making the highest profit. All companies will be judged in five categories: design, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and finance. Their scores in each category will influence their company value. In the end, the company with the highest value wins!

This is a free event, so if you can, come and cheer for our Roosevelt team (and buy their product at the sales bazaar to help their score)! For more information and a link to register, go to:
