As part of Roosevelt’s commitment to provide students with 21st Century Skills, Roosevelt’s computer lab has been updated with 32 all new iMacs. The new computers have been installed, the teachers have been trained and they are now ready for the students!

The “old” computers have been moved to the auxiliary computer lab in Room 19 and can now be used for research, Accelerated Reader and Jiji Math.

Ms Vawter’s 4th grade class and Ms Coyle’s 6th grade class will be participating in a program called Project iRead. Roosevelt has received iPods for the students in those classes and they will be practicing word fluency and vocabulary skills on the iPods. Here are two of Ms Vawter’s 4th graders with the iPod carts!

And three out of the four SMART boards have been installed in classrooms around campus. The SMART board in Room 19 can be used by all of the classes.
