Volunteers will soon be able to return back on campus! The RCSD Board of Trustees agreed at their most recent board meeting that the school district could welcome back volunteers to school campuses effective November 29. All parents (new and existing ) who wish to volunteer will need to fill out the new application online. Here’s the link to the district website.

Academy of Ballet & Etiquette – NOW ENROLLING

Ballet Class: The Academy of Ballet and Etiquette uses the stories of the ballets to teach steps, technique and manners. Each class features formal bows, creative movement warm ups and a puppet story of the ballet for review and reward. Classes are 40 minutes each and occur at Roosevelt Elementary.

Mariposa Dance Recital

Giving Tuesday

This Tuesday 11/20 is Giving Tuesday. To help support our community, consider helping the Roosevelt Community Center by purchasing items from their wish list here.

The Roosevelt Family Center is the newly developed center for support and services at Roosevelt; it is one of the benefits our school is able to develop as part of our transition to a community school. The team at the center have asked if the parent body can help them fulfill their wish list for items for the center. We have already had some great help with the list, but please see the wish lists here and  order something if you are able.

Healthy School Meals Committee

The Healthy School Meal Committee  is a district-wide parent committee looking to improve meal/food options in our schools. We currently have two parents on the committee but are looking for more.Help get your kids the lunch you always dreamed of!

Are you interested in improving school breakfast and lunch options for Redwood City School District students? If so, you may be interested in the new Healthy School Meals Committee for parents, students, staff, and teachers. The committee is looking for cross-school collaboration to help make district-wide changes, so if you are interested contact Jessica Shade for more info:

Book Fair Continues

Reminder: student shopping days at the Book Fair at the Roosevelt Library Monday and Tuesday, during or after school. Kids can bring money to purchase books and trinkets!

Spooktacular Bingo was a hit!

Thanks to all the families who came out to Spooktacular Bingo on Thursday night. It felt great to be back on campus and see so many families! And a special thanks to our spectacular host, David S. Pumpkins!

Volunteers Needed for Spooktacular BINGO! (this Thursday)

We are looking for a few parents to help during our event. Please sign up if you can help!  Sign up Genius here.

This Thursday is the fated night!  David S. Pumpkins will be doing the monster mash Roosevelt this Thursday Oct 28 (6:30-8:00pm) under the lower campus lunch enclosure next to the gym for the 2021 Edition of SPOOKTACULAR BINGO!

This special outdoor edition will feature socially distanced seating in the lunch area next to the gymnasium. Get ready for  frightening light-en-ing, freaky fog, screaming tunes, bingo mayhem and an insane amount of prizes!

At our School Site Council meeting on Monday, we will be electing our officers, discussing a proposed dress code change, and reviewing the School Plan for Student Achievement, an annual document that details the goals, actions, and budget for this school year.

Spooktacular Bingo returns to Roosevelt Thurs, Oct 28

Mark your calendars! (Blood or ink are fine). David S. Pumpkins will be back at Roosevelt on Thursday, October 28th (6:30-8:00pm) for the 2021 Edition of SPOOKTACULAR BINGO!
