This Week

The state’s Smarter Balanced Assessment testing continues this week for students in grades 3-8.

  • Please make sure you get your child to school on time each morning!
  • Your child should have at least 7 – 11 hours of sleep each night.
  • Your child should eat a “power” breakfast each morning (Examples: eggs, beans, cheese, oatmeal, toast, yogurt, fruit, etc.)
  • Encourage your child to to their best work!

  • May 18 – Make Time for Fitness Day at Red Morton – 4th Grade
  • May 18 – Fire Drill
  • May 20 – Middle School Tree Planting – sign up with your Science teacher
  • May 23 – Last PTA Meeting of the 2016/2017 School Year!
  • May 24 – 8th Grade Graduation meeting at 6:00pm
  • May 25 – Student of the Month Assembly for TK & K
  • May 25 – Art Show and Open House
  • May 26 – Student of the Month Assemblies for Grades 1 – 8
  • May 29 – Memorial Day – No School
  • May 30 – 6th Graders Leave for Yosemite
  • June 2 – Field Day
  • June 2 – 6th Graders Return from Yosemite
  • June 5 – Begin Minimum Day Schedule
  • June 6 – Student of the Month Assemblies for Grades TK-8
  • June 6 – 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony at Woodside High School
  • June 7 – 8th Grade Swim Party
  • June 7 – 1st Grade End of the Year Picnic
  • June 8 – 8th Grade Pancake Breakfast
  • June 9 – Last Day of School!! – Super Minimum Day – all classes released at 12:00

  • August 21 – First Day of School for the 2017/2018 School Year
Spring Cleaning 

Thanks to everyone who turned out in force this weekend for our Spring Cleaning garden event. Dean Schwartz and the Stanford Graduate School of Education volunteers joined Roosevelt students, parents and faculty to make our school and garden even more beautiful — a place to help our students learn and grow through our wonderful outdoor education program. Special thanks to Brandon and  Nacho from RCSD facilities, Victor Hernandez from the PCC for tools, and Kristin Olson Palmer for spearheading the event and Megan Goulden for overseeing the day.

 

SJ Earthquakes v LA Galaxy…

Tickets will go on sale soon for the annual SJ Earthquakes v LA Galaxy soccer game at Stanford Stadium on July 1st. Look for information coming home soon!
