Vote for 7th grade teacher Sarah Coyle…
Sunday, June 1 is the LAST DAY to vote for Roosevelt 7th grade teacher Sarah Coyle for the Comcast All-Star Teacher award!  If Sarah wins, Roosevelt will receive $20,000!  The winning teacher is the one who receives the most votes.  Sarah is an exceptional teacher and truly an asset to Roosevelt. She has given her all to her students and now we have a chance to show her some support. Visit www.csnbayarea.com/allstarteacher  Fill out the information in the VOTE NOW box and press Submit. Students may also vote, but they need parent permission.

SJ Earthquakes vs. LA Galaxy Soccer Game Tickets…
Tickets are still available! The PTA decided to purchase another block of  tickets in the next section so if you want to attend the game, please turn in an order form and payment to the school office as soon as possible! If you purchased tickets for the June 28 soccer game, please come to the office to pick them up. The PTA would like to thank you for your support and we’ll see you at the game! Contact Guy Taylor guytaylor123@yahoo.com or call/text 650-380-3886 if you have questions or need more information.

Yearbooks…
The school yearbook will be distributed this week for all those that pre-ordered a copy.  Mr. Williams’ after school yearbook club worked on them for most of the year and they look fantastic! The yearbooks are full color and available for only $30 each in the school office. Please make checks payable to Roosevelt PTA.

Lost and Found…
This is your last week to claim items from the Lost & Found cart in the office! If your child has lost a sweater, jacket, or lunch box, please stop by the office to take a look!

Summer Meal Program…
The Redwood City School District will be offering free meals to students Monday – Friday at schools throughout the district. To see a list of schools and hours of meal service, go to http://www.rcsd.k12.ca.us/cms/lib3/CA01001036/Centricity/Domain/1/Summer%20Meal%20Flyer_2014.pdf

On the Parent Blog…
As soon as any photos or slide shows from Open House are received they will be posted to the parent blog. For those of you that didn’t get a chance to walk through the classrooms of the next grade level for your child, this is a great way to get an idea of what to expect next year.

Fundraise While You Shop…
Don’t forget to scan this week’s receipts for Shoparoo, check those Safeway receipts to make sure that Roosevelt is getting your escrip credits and look for Box Tops on anything you bought this week! (A note about Shoparoo: there are other Roosevelt schools in the area – one in Burlingame and one in San Leandro. Please make sure that your points are going to the correct Roosevelt School.)
