The 2012 Hometown Holidays Parade experienced a break in the storm that was pelting the Bay Area on December 1, 2012. Roosevelt students and their families donned their Hawaiian attire and represented Christmas in Hawaii in the parade.

Kinder students did a hula at one stop on the parade route, the choir sang Mele Kamikimaka at the next stop, and the third stand of judges was treated to Jingle Bells by one of Roosevelt’s saxaphone players.

Many thanks to Roosevelt parent Brandi Sevudredre for organizing this event and to all of the Roosevelt parents and students who braved the possibility of rain to show their Roosevelt holiday spirit! And thanks to Dora Bejarano for the pictures!
