Here are a few last minute reminders for Wednesday (and Thursday)…

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon in the Faculty Lounge (Room 14) at 11:00
Show your appreciation for the staff of Roosevelt school! The PTA is hosting a potluck lunch for the Roosevelt staff on Wednesday, May 9 at 11:00am in the Faculty Lounge (Room 14). Please bring one of your favorite dishes to share with our teachers. You can drop off your dish in the morning or just before the luncheon at 11:00am. If you are contributing food, and need your dishes returned, please label everything with your name and your child’s name and room number.

Last day to purchase flowers for Mother’s Day!
Flowers will be sold at lunch and after school. Cost = $1.50 (Flowers will be delivered to classrooms on Thursday) The flowers can also be given to grandma, aunts or anyone else that you think deserves a flower for Mother’s Day!

Box Tops Raffle at lunch!
I was told this morning that there will be a Box Tops raffle tomorrow (Wed) as well as one on Friday. (The 5th graders will have a chance at a raffle next week, since they’re at Outdoor Ed this week.) 5 Box Tops = 1 Raffle Ticket! Bring in 5 Box Tops, and win a chance to choose a prize! Box Tops volunteers will collect Box Tops at lunch time in front of the office on Friday, May 11th. For every 5 Box Tops, your child will be entered into a drawing for prizes, including gift cards, movie tickets, books, and toys.

And for Thursday…
Volunteers are still needed for phone banking! The parcel tax committee has assigned Roosevelt to phone bank nights for Measure W (the parcel tax). We need 20 people per night and they are fun and easy. All we do is call people to understand whether they are supporters or not. No convincing required!

Roosevelt’s Phone Bank night is Thursday, May 10 from 5:30-8:30pm. Send an email to Dave Goulden at dave.goulden@gmail.com or go to www.signupgenius.com/go/volunteer1271 to sign-up directly on the website. To read the latest on Measure W go to Redwood City Community for Better Schools.
