The MAZE Day paperwork went out in the mail on Wednesday, August 10, so you should be receiving it within the next few days. If you have not received your MAZE Day packet by next Tuesday, extra forms will be available for you at school. This year’s MAZE days are scheduled for the following dates and times:

Tuesday, August 16th – 5:00pm to 8:00pm
for families with last names starting with A – L

Thursday, August 18th – 4:00pm to 7:00pm
for families with last names starting with M – Z

You need to fill out all of your forms before MAZE Day, but if you are having trouble with any of your forms, assistance will be provided in the YMCA After School Room (the building next to the Cafeteria) during both MAZE days. All Roosevelt parents, not just Kinder and new families, are asked to attend. This year, MAZE Day will be held in both the school cafeteria and the YMCA After School Room. Once you’ve turned in all of your completed forms, you will receive your child’s teacher/class assignment and school supply list.

If you are unable to come on your assigned MAZE Day, you may attend the other day. If you can’t attend either day, please bring your paperwork into the office in the days before the start of school, or in the morning before the first day of school.

What You Will Need…
Don’t forget to bring your completed paperwork and also bring your checkbook or cash or donation pledge sheets. Roosevelt t-shirts and sweatshirts will also be for sale during both MAZE days.

MAZE Day Volunteers Needed…
If anyone can volunteer on either MAZE Day, your help would be greatly appreciated. If you can help, please contact our PTA president Aurora Gallardo.

Uniform Exchange or Donation…
If you would like to participate in the uniform exchange or have uniforms that you would like to donate, you can bring them to MAZE day for collection. Please make sure that any uniforms for exchange or donation are clean and gently used. (Please no holes, rips or stains.)

Looking for Snack Donations…
This year the PTA will be giving our incoming Kindergarten families an orientation on the first day of school. We would like to be able to offer them some light refreshments after the orientation. We are asking for donations of cookies or muffins or any other morning snack item. Please contact Trish Reilly Taylor if you are able to bring something in.

Tour Volunteers Needed…
As part of the PTA orientation, the new Kindergarten families will be given a tour of our campus (the office, what to do if your child is late for school, the lost and found, the cafeteria, the library, etc.) If you are interested in leading a small group of parents or supervising the new Kindergarten students on the playground, please contact Trish Reilly Taylor or Principal Girardi.
