Please note the following:

  • All on campus after school enrichment staff/instructors are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
  • All after school enrichment activities are offered to Roosevelt students only
  • Scholarships from the PTA are available by request– Please reach out to selah@roosevelt-pta.com for details

Academy of Ballet & Etiquette

Ballet Class: The Academy of Ballet and Etiquette uses the stories of the ballets to teach steps, technique and manners. Each class features formal bows, creative movement warm ups and a puppet story of the ballet for review and reward. Classes are 40 minutes each and occur at Roosevelt Elementary.

Mariposa Dance

Zumba® Kids for Grades K-5 
Zumba Kids classes are designed exclusively for kids to combine movement, music and community in a class for children.  Classes are rockin’, high energy dance parties packed with specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines and all the music kids love, like hip-hop, reggaeton, cumbia and much more!  We aim to inspire kids to express themselves through movement and play while effectively improving their overall health and well-being. 

Zumba® Kids programs at Roosevelt Elementary are brought to you by Mariposa Dance, a local dance company in Redwood City, CA, and taught by AFAA-certified and Zumba-licensed Instructor, Melody Mai. Together with their other dance programs, Zumba® Kids participants will have an opportunity to perform on stage at a special end-of-program dance showcase.

 

Lando Interactive

LEGO Masters Engineering for 1-2 and 3-5
In each Lando class, students solve real world engineering challenges using LEGOs and other modular building blocks. Through our open-ended challenges, kids build an intuition on how to design, build, test, and iterate — just like an engineer!

 

Girls on the Run 

Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based program for girls in 3rd-5th grade. We teach life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event.
