Maze Days are Here!

entering-mazeMaze Days are here!

Tue Aug 16th, 3:30-6:00pm: TK – Grade 4
Thu Aug 18th, 3:30-6:00pm: Grades 5 – 8

Who needs to attend MAZE day?
ALL Roosevelt parents (not just TK/Kinder and new families) need to attend.
I can’t come to my scheduled MAZE day. Can I go to the other one?
Yes. If the MAZE day date that was scheduled for your last name doesn’t work for you, please come to the other one.
I can’t come to either MAZE day. What do I do?
If you can’t attend either MAZE day, please come in to the office on Monday morning before school starts. Be aware that the first day of school is a very busy one in the office, so getting your paperwork turned in and your child’s class assignment will take more time.
I didn’t get my MAZE day packet. What do I do?
There will be blank forms available for you at both MAZE days, so please come even if you didn’t receive a packet in the mail.
Do I need to plan to be at MAZE day for the entire time listed?
No. The scheduled times are just a window. You can come any time during the scheduled time.
What do I need to bring with me?
You need to fill out all of your forms before MAZE Day. (If you are having trouble with any of your forms, assistance will be provided during both MAZE days.) In addition to your completed forms, bring your checkbook, credit cards or cash. Once you’ve turned in all of your completed forms, you will receive your child’s teacher/class assignment.
Do I need to bring any money for anything?
There are a few  opportunities to be prepared for, including:

Through donations like yours, the PTA is able to fund technology, art, field trips, outdoor education, our award-winning library and reading program, family fun nights for our community, and more. We’re asking for pledges of $150 this year and your 100% donation will get you an awesome REF Swag Bag filled with lots of fun goodies – including a limited edition, principal-approved, green Roosevelt T-shirt that counts as a uniform shirt! If you hit the 100% mark before October 31st, you’ll automatically be entered into the REF 100% Raffle. The prizes include gift cards, Spiritwear, Raccoon Bucks, and a Roosevelt hallway that your student or family gets to name for the entire school year. At the end of the year, you get to keep the sign!
Roosevelt Raccoons – get ready to show your school spirit! Pick up your uniform-approved Roosevelt t-shirts, polos, sweatshirts and sweatpants. Spirit wear will also be available for proud Roosevelt parents.

See you all this week!

Welcome to our New PTA Site

cropped-Roosevelt-PTA-Logo-600x600.pngHi everyone!

New year, new site. After maintaining the site for several years, we’re going to try and do our best to spell Trish Taylor from the admin duties. What an incredible resource it’s been for all of us over the years. A heartfelt thank you to Trish for getting the blog off the ground, her years of effort and continued support.

The good news is that we’ve managed to import all of posts and  content here. And we’ve managed to add some new functionality like Volunteer Signup and Donation forms.

There’s also a calendar that you can subscribe to, a student supply list page, and some fun new widgets (like flickr). We’ll do our best to keep up the high standards set by Trish – but feel free to drop us a line if you have any questions or suggestions at:

We’ll soon repoint the domain to redirect people here, but in the meantime you can bookmark this page.
