Anyone is welcome to attend any PBL presentation and not just the ones in your child’s classroom. One of the requirements of PBL is to present to an outside audience so more audience members are always welcome.

Monday, November 16
Parent Coffee at 8:00am in Room 1. Come and enjoy a cup of coffee with other parents and Principal Girardi on Monday morning!   This is a very casual meeting so if you can only drop in for a few minutes, you’re still welcome to attend. Spanish translation is available for those that need it. If you have a younger child, you are welcome to bring him/her. Tell a friend!

Tuesday, November 17
Picture Make-up day. Students having their picture taken may wear free dress.

Grades 3-8 will take part in a program offered by Google called Google Expeditions. Students will have a virtual reality experience in the classroom thanks to Google. Be sure to ask your child what they were able to see – the pyramids of Egypt?, the Great Barrier Reef? the surface of Mars?, ancient ruins?

Book Fair begins! The book fair will be open at morning and lunch recess times. Come to our Kick-Off Event from 4:00pm – 7:00pm and enjoy cookies and hot chocolate! (If you can donate cookies for the event, please drop them off in the school office on Tuesday morning)

Rooms 16 & 17 PBL Presentation at 8:15am & 9:10am – “Medieval Ages” – Were the Dark Ages Really Dark?

1st Grade “Thankful Feast” at 11:00am

5th grade – Rooms 11 & 13 at 8:30am –  Colonies PBL presentation- Why would the colonists sacrifice everything & risk their lives to immigrate to the New World? & How can we understand the development of this new nation through different perspectives?

4th grade – Rooms 2, 3 & 10 Goldrush Presentations at 8:30am – “Gold Rush” – How did the Gold Rush impact the economy and population of California?
Last Day of the Book Fair! The book fair will be open at morning and lunch recess times.
