Volunteers Needed for Tuesday Night…
We really need some parent volunteers to show up at 5:30 to assist with set-up and to help with the activities. 16 volunteers are needed to act as “patients”. Please let our 7th Grade Math/Science teacher Julie Gordon know if you can help out. She needs 16 volunteers and she only has 4 as of Friday afternoon. You can sign up to volunteer at either session. jgordon@rcsdk8.net

PTA Pledges…
Reminders are once again being sent home for all families that wanted to make a monthly contribution to the Roosevelt Enrichment Fund. Please remember to send in your money.

If you still haven’t contributed $100 per child, or filled out a pledge form to make monthly payments, you can still do so. There are still a lot of Enrichment programs that the PTA has to fund for this year and we need your support. The more money our fund has, we can give the teachers the go ahead to schedule field trips and classroom visitors. Please include your child’s name and room number so that it can be credited to your family.

Checks should be made out to Roosevelt PTA or you can make a cash donation. Please use the envelope that was sent with the reminder to send back your payment so that it can be credited to your family. You can also pay via Credit Card or bank transfer using the PayPal Donate button on the parent blog at www.rooseveltparents.com You can also pay by credit card in the school office.

Thank you for your generosity!

Spring Book Fair…
The Spring Book Fair will be held in the school library during parent/teacher conferences (March 15 – March 22). Kindergarten families are being asked to sign up for a shift to help our librarian with this event. Sign up sheets have been posted, so please sign up for a time slot.  If you are not a Kinder parent, but would like to help out with the book fair, please contact our librarian Paulette Elliott at pelliott@rcsdk8.net

Earthquakes Soccer Game…
Roosevelt has once again reserved seats at the June 29 SJ Earthquakes vs. LA Galaxy soccer game at Stanford Stadium. Watch for information about upcoming ticket sales! All tickets cost $20 each. Tell your friends and family – this game was sold out last year and we were lucky enough to have an entire section!

Rethinking Dyslexia Movie...
A movie by James Redford (son of Robert Redford) on Thursday, March 21 at 6:30pm at The Fox Theater. Tickets $15 each. And if you’re a big Robert Redford fan, there’s a rumor that he’ll be at the screening that night with his son James.
