Book Fair Volunteers Needed…
There will be a Cookies and Cocoa Family Event on Tuesday evening from 5-7:30. Paulette Elliott needs parents to help with serving the cookies and cocoa and just talking with other parents to make them feel welcome, find books etc.

The busy times are during recess from 10-11 and lunch time from 12-1 and right after school, are the times when Paulette could really use some extra hands. Its kind of like yard duty, but with books. Parents can look around and familiarize themselves with books, help kids find books, and just crowd control etc. Very easy. To volunteer, please contact Paulette Elliott at pelliott@rcsdk8.net or stop by the Library.

Principal Girardi’s car…
Ms Girardi’s car was hit by someone last week while it was parked in her Staff parking spot. If you witnessed anything or are the person that hit her car, please contact Ms. Girardi at pgirardi@rcsdk8.net or stop by the office.

On the Parent Blog…
I’ve posted pictures of the Kindergarten Festival and some pictures from Mrs. Torres’s Kinder class. Thanks so much to the Rovetti family for sending me the pictures!

Pictures needed…
I love to get pictures of what’s going on in all of the classrooms at Roosevelt. If you have pictures from your child’s classroom while volunteering, pictures from a field trip or class party, please let me know and I’ll post them on the blog. If you take a picture of your child’s artwork or any project, I’d be happy to post that as well. trishreillytaylor@gmail.com

Redwood City Hometown Parade…
Save the Date! Roosevelt will be participating in the Redwood City Hometown Parade on December 3. We will be decorating a trailer to be in the parade, so look for updates about that over the next few weeks. Also, the dollar stores are starting to put out their holiday items, so if you see any santa hats, pick some up to wear for the parade. Contact trishreillytaylor@gmail.com

WinterFest!…
The dates have been set! WinterFest! will be on December 6 and December 8 this year and will be held at Penninsula Covenent Church (PCC) at 3560 Farm Hill Blvd. December 6 will feature performances by grades – Kinder, 4th, 5th and Room 6A and December 8 will feature performances by grades – 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th and Room 6A. For those that don’t know what WinterFest! is, it’s Roosevelt’s annual holiday performance. The children in each grade will be practicing a song or skit over the next weeks to perform on their assigned night of WinterFest!

Have a great week!
