Make sure to mark your calendars for the following events at Roosevelt this week:

Monday – Friday…
Parent Teacher Conferences are this week. Please remember that grades 1 – 5 have Minimum Day schedule all week (Kindergarten has regular dismissal times). If you haven’t scheduled a conference time, contact your child’s teacher as soon as possible.

Restaurant fundraiser at Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill in Menlo Park (515 El Camino Real) from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. Rubio’s will be giving Roosevelt 20% of total eat in or take out sales.  Make sure you present the flyer to the cashier so that Roosevelt gets the credit for your order.

This week on the Parent Blog!
I have been making some changes to the parent blog.  The major change is to the PBL in the Classroom tab.  I now have each grade listed separately so that you don’t have to scroll through the entire post if you’re looking for a specific grade.  I’ve also been adding pictures that I’ve been getting from the faculty and parents.  Some are under the Photo Gallery tab and others are with the specific grade level to show examples of the PBL lessons going on in the classrooms.  I’m a bit behind on loading the pictures, so expect to see more and more throughout the week.    I also posted 5th grader Angela Khov’s essay on Project Based Learning and her run for class president. If you have pictures from the classroom or a school event that you would like to have posted, let me know.  Also, if there’s ever anything you’d like to see on the blog, let me know and I’ll be happy to post it.    www.rooseveltparents.com
